Profitable Hydro Weed Strains of Marijuana

Have you heard about hydro cannabis, and have you become very curious about it? Don’t worry. We know the incredible popularity of this type of crop, so we have motivated ourselves to make this article. Read on, so you know what all these growing hydro weed strains are about to mean when we hear about a hydro marijuana crop?  The main thing is to clarify the idea since there are so many varieties of marijuana that, if you do not know each of them (as well as the cultivation techniques), you can get confused with each other. Whenever you hear someone talk about hydro marijuana or hydroponics, they refer to those crops that grow with water. There are then many techniques that can be carried out to develop as desired by the grower.

Why do you only hear wonders about hydro marijuana crops?

Very rarely, and beware if maybe never, you will hear someone complain about a hydro marijuana crop. These have an outstanding reputation, which is what has made them popular internationally.  Among the benefits of having a crop of this type is that you can get much more production from the plant, while the quality is greatly improved by when it is already used for consumption. It can boost any business.

Hydro cannabis is not just any type of crop.

The simple task of growing marijuana in a normal way is already a great challenge. Each of its varieties requires extra care, and having them on land is a truly arduous task to maintain them and get good production and quality. Although the two previous characteristics are improvements of hydro marijuana cultivation, you should know that growing nothing changes in these ways. For many, it is an even greater challenge.

Five Ways to Grow Marijuana in Hydroponic Way

Five ways to grow marijuana in Hydro, since many times we hear about hydroponics as if there was only one. Hydroponics does not mean working with water, but there are different ways to grow our plants using these systems. We will hear about the wonders of hydro since it is true that more production and better quality are produced, but much extra care is needed compared to the land. We will then explain the different types of hydroponic crops. If we are interested in starting to grow using these systems, we know them and know the advantages and disadvantages of growing with them. In principle, tell you that it is not a secret. Plants need water, light, nutrients, carbon dioxide, and oxygen. We will always have to have replacement pumps, both air, and flow since it will depend on how our plants remain alive if we break. For example, on a Sunday, where there is no place where there are pumps, your plants will be dead in a few hours. The water temperature will also play an important role since boiling water is practically lacking in oxygen, and our roots will rot. Too cold water will cause the nutrients not to be assimilated and the roots to become blocked. The water should always be around 20-22º. Here are the different techniques of hydroponics to cultivate hydro weed that we know:

1. RSS:

It is the hydro system most seen and the one we know the most, to the point that many growers only know this system. These are about 12L pots filled with clay balls where we will plant our plant. The pot is connected to a drain at the bottom, and they communicate with each other with the drains. A tank and a water pump supply our plants with the nutrient solution a few times a day with a timer, depending on the plant’s water needs. A hose located at the base of the stem will soak the roots every time we need it. It is an effective system. But we must be careful that the pump does not spoil or our plants are in danger of drought. For everything else, it is one of the simplest systems to start getting into hydroponics. Against, we must be careful so that the roots do not cover the hole where the pot drains, or it can become clogged, the pot is filled with water to the top until it overflows, you can have a small flood.

DWC:

It is about a hydro system of roots in the air. We grow in a container on top of an individual tank. The container will be full of clay balls to hold our plant and act as a substrate, and down in the tank, we will have the water with the nutrients. The bottom of the container is a mesh, or we use a mesh pot that allows the roots to pass without problems without the balls falling out. The roots seek the water from the reservoir and feed on there, although at first they only take moisture as soon as the roots begin to touch the water, our plants have a spectacular change. An air pump with a diffuser stone will ensure that our water is oxygenated and does not remain stagnant. Thus, it stays well for your plant for about a week. There we will make our nutrient mixtures throughout the crop, and our plant will increasingly accumulate more root mass, eating better, and making an accelerated and productive process. Against, that the water is stagnant and sometimes we can suffer from root rot or pests.

Ebb & Flow Ebb & Flow:

It is a system similar to the DWC, but instead of submerging the roots directly in the water, the roots are flooded for a few seconds, and the water is drained several times a day. Try pots full of clay balls set on a table that reach the edges about 3/4 of the way up the pot. Under a water tank, and every so often, we pump the water to the table, and we flood it, the roots of water with nutrients and then when the pump is turned off, the water returns through the same tube through which it entered the tank again since the pumps do not act as a non-return valve. When doing these cycles, our plant will be permanently hydrated with water and easily absorbable nutrients. We always regulate the Ec and Ph, accelerating the plant’s whole process and achieving the highest quality and quantity.

NFT:

It is like a DWC but to grow instead of a large plant, many small cuttings. When we do not work from seed, a DWC can be very large for a cutting since they do not take the same branches or have the same production as the seed. If we work from cuttings, an NFT can be one of the best options. It is about some tubes with a little inclination. On one side, water enters them from the tank through a water pump, and on the other, it drains back to the tank. The water with nutrients runs through the area below the tube, and in the area above, there are holes with mesh pots where we will put our cuttings. The roots will reach the stream of water with nutrients and will be permanently nourished without missing anything, giving you high productions in a short time and with the least possible work. On the contrary, you have to control the water level must. Since when the roots occupy a good part of the tube, the water does not flow down. Besides, it can fill up too much with water, rotting the roots.

Aeroponics :

Another hydroponics method consists of placing our plants in trays with holes in which neoprene discs fit. We cut each disk, which will be the aerial part above and the root zone below the disk. This tray is suspended above a water tank, a water nebulization system with a pump, a PVC circuit, and sprinklers called Sprayers, which will be in charge of keeping our roots moist through continuous rain on them. They will have an inexhaustible water source with nutrients, and to root cuttings, there is no better technique. You can fit a pot with a plant in an RSS in a pot with an aeroponic system. You can also fit five cuttings, giving you the same weight as the seed that fits in that pot. But, it will always be the grass you like. Against, we must be careful that the Sprayer does stick since they mist the water very fine and it is easy for them to get stuck. So far, the various systems that we know in hydroponics. However, there are other systems such as rock wool that we can also consider as hydro. We will make a special one for those who use this type of substrate instead of clay balls.

Profitable Cannabis Strains to Cultivate in Hydroponic:

1. AMNESIA HAZE

Amnesia Haze is a variety known worldwide for its sativa, fun, and energetic high. Moreover, this hydro weed has great productivity and suggestive flavors. This lady was first bred in Amsterdam, the cannabis capital of Europe, using California Haze genetics. This prestigious strain has won the High Times Cannabis Cup in 2004 and 2012. It produces a potent high that borders on the psychedelic, an electrifying effect that instantly takes over neurons and continues to elevate mood and stimulate a communicative and social state. It is an excellent daytime herb to work with. Its flowers produce high levels of THC and medium amounts of CBD. Amnesia Haze is an excellent choice for DWC. It reaches a medium height, and you can easily grow it in tight spaces. It produces indoor yields of around 600g / m² after a 12-13 weeks flowering period.

2. GORILLA GLUE

GORILLA GLUE

The Gorilla Glue is a legend in the cannabis world. This strain is easily one of the most potent hydro weed strains out there, reaching THC levels of 24-26%, with some phenotypes registering as low as 30%. This potency may seem like the result of a highly planned breeding process. Still, the original Gorilla Glue came about by accident when a Chem Sis plant pollinated a Sour Dubb specimen. This well-balanced hybrid produces a relaxing effect that deeply softens the body. Besides, it releases tension, eliminates stress, and induces a meditative state. The terpene profile provides sweet, earthy, lemon, and pine notes. The Gorilla Glue is an ideal hydro weed choice for DWC if you’re looking for power. This chick reaches heights of 90-150cm indoors. It produces up to 560g / m² after a flowering period of 8-9 weeks.

3. NORTHERN LIGHTS

The Northern Lights is another titanic variety that occupies a place in the vault of the legendary genetics. This indica-dominant lady was created by crossing the genetics of a purely indigenous strain into a Thai sativa. The result is an offspring full of seductive flavors, incredible potency, and therapeutic qualities. Northern Lights provides a relaxing effect that softens muscles, dissipates tension, and makes your eyelids heavy. It is an ideal nocturnal herb to help immerse yourself in the present moment. Besides, it disconnects you from the outside world for a while. This pleasant high is good for fighting stress, pain, and anxiety. Its buds emanate fruity, sweet, and delicious notes. Northern Lights is a productive variety and very suitable for the DWC system. Indoor plants reach easily manageable heights of about 120cm. Moreover, they adapt to relatively small water tanks, in case you have space problems. This hydro weed strain has a low flowering time of 50days and produces advantageous yields of around 500g / m².

4. GIANT WHITE HAZE

The Giant White Haze was born of an ambitious breeding project. In that project, two parental strains-mythical and the Haze participated and produced White Widow. This merger was a success, and the offspring inherited the best traits from both parents. Induces a stimulating sativa high, awakening creative thoughts and helping the mind focus on a single task for long periods. Giant White Haze also offers therapeutic effects to medicinal users, as it whets the appetite and reduces anxiety. The terpene profile, with earthy and pine flavors, favors its effects. Giant White Haze is a very productive hydro weed variety that reaches tall heights. If you grow it in DWC, it will reach a maximum height of 2m. Moreover, it will produce around 600g/m² after 9-10 weeks of flowering.
