About
Strawberry Cough is a refreshing, flavor-focused sativa hybrid. Its unmistakable strawberry strain flavor results from crossing cannabis pioneer Kyle Kushman. Her impressive buds won the title of Best Flower at the 2013 Cannabis Cup. Fruity and light, this strain is a stimulating and productive smoke that can enjoy in various settings. Strawberry Cough Strain is a cross between Strawberry Fields and the Classic Haze. The average THC composition of this variety is between 15% and 20%. Emerald Cannabis Worx tested Strawberry Cough Seeds through pH Labs and reached a record 22.98% THC in 2018.
A former High Times editor produced this Strain mainly by chance in 2000. Kushman claims to have taken a small clone from a fellow breeder: a dwarf. The clone was allegedly grown alongside a strawberry patch somewhere—Connecticut place. Kushman was impressed by the clone’s pungent strawberry scent; he dubbed the strain Strawberry Field and eventually crossed it with a Haze plant. The result was Strawberry Cough Dunks, a hybrid that tastes smooth and sweet and offers an intense cerebral high. Kushman caused a stir at Strawberry Cough in New York City’s underground cannabis market. He later moved west to focus on farming in California and delivered Strawberry Cough clones on the cross country road, increasing his popularity further.
Strawberry Strain
The award-winning flowers of this variety are large and thick. Despite her sativa dominant genetics, Strawberry Cough has a more typical indica bud structure, with solid, densely packed leaves. However, the sativa genes show up in the tapered and tapered shape of the buds, less like popcorn and more like tiny pineapples.
The flowers are covered with cloudy amber trichomes that give the leaves a slightly yellowish appearance. Instead of the orange ones, the red pistils are threaded through the sticky leaves. The soft aroma of strawberries rises from the buds, mixed with a few hot spices. They emit a cloud of herbs reminiscent of the Haze parent strain when the buds burn. The smoke from the Strawberry Sherbet Strain is usually intense, causing many users to cough and sometimes cry. The initial flavor is of ripe strawberries without a trace of musk. On the exhale, the strawberry flavor has a little more sweetness. This saccharin berry scent lingers for a while after users have smoked.
